Graham’s sole win for the was the highlight in a very frustrating match.

  1. In Cumnor’s defence (and not to put down City’s fine play), it does appear we were outgraded on every board.

    My game was pretty interesting. I made a (possibly unsound) early sacrifice of my knight to break up Malcolm’s king-side defences, and found myself with a trio of pawns progressing menacingly towards the finish-line.

    Although none of them were to make it as a Queen, I was able to claw a victory against my strong opponent.
