New Grades are out

The Summer 2020 grading list has been published and can be found here.

Congratulations for everyone who’s grade went up and commiserations on those who’s went down.

As we all know the season finished early this year so some players have played less games this year.

Tonight should have been our last Chess evening before our summer break, we are keeping an open minded about opening the club in September but obviously this will on be done once we know it is safe to do so. Until such a time arises the weekly Cumnor Clash will be on lichess every Thursday, a link can be found here to watch or join in.

Up and downThere have been some great performances reflected in the updated grades list, but a simple up/down reading disguises how well others have done holding onto their already impressive grades.

I don’t think those who have lost a few grade points should feel desolated.

I think my own rise was helped enormously by being away from the board for over month during a holiday in Australia/New Zealand!

See the latest grades for Cumnor’s players here.

The next grades will be out in the middle of the year.
